Bell Bottom Big Band Alpharetta Concert reviews
Thank goodness for the music!
The concert has all the makings of a top-notch music experience, but where it ends is the music. Me and my girls love our country music! We enjoyed not all that familiar with Riley Green or Chris Lane’s full portfolio. The best part of the set was the 90s throwback mashup/medley, they have bright futures! **Bell Bottom Big Band** did not disappoint either. It was amazing how they squeezed so many of their hits into just under the 2-hour block, even making it special for the crowd on the lawn with 2 songs up there on the open-air stage. We loved the show and **Bell Bottom Big Band**’s humor and banter, but were missing a few that I’d love to hear in a show like “He didn’t have to be” or “High Life.” Someone should tell them that folks in our neck of the woods don’t actually use the term Beantown though. Ha!
The Live Nation or the Xfinity Center experience, not so much, however. This high ticket alternative for buying tickets leaves the venue half empty, starting with the surge pricing, making the experience that much less for those of us that actually pay to come. The artist must feel the same way, too many empty seats. Fortunately, we waited for the tickets to drop and paid next to nothing for great seats, but we would have much rather bought them sooner than risk not getting tickets. Then move on to the parking lot. They are a disaster, too much trouble to groom the lots. Ticket prices are high enough to tame that. Also, ride shares should either wait to come in, have a certain time they have to be in, or have a separate entrance. It backs up the exit for far too long and is a fire hazard, I would think. Also, bag policies should be printed on the tickets and in the advertising, like it is at almost every other branded venue. Finally, beverage prices are outrageous. I understand managing alcohol consumption, but concert-goers should be able to bring water on hot days if the only alternative is a $5 - 12 oz Aquafina. That’s absurd and irresponsible for excessive heat.
